Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026. These Terms govern your use of MyPayGate (the “Service”), operated by the entity named in the Imprint (“we”, “us”).

1. What MyPayGate is — and is not

MyPayGate is a software service: a notification-processing and content-delivery tool. We verify payment confirmations that buyers forward to us and unlock digital content when a payment is verified. We are not a payment processor, money transmitter, escrow service, marketplace or bank, and we are not a party to the sale between buyer and seller. Payments flow directly between buyer and seller through third-party payment services (e.g. PayPal, Wise). We never receive, hold, aggregate, split or transmit buyer funds, and we have no access to either party’s payment accounts.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Seller responsibilities

  • You are solely responsible for the content you sell, its legality, and your relationship with your buyers, including delivery, taxes and refunds.
  • You must comply with the terms of the payment services you use (e.g. PayPal’s rules for commercial transactions).
  • You must own or hold all rights to the content you distribute through the Service.

4. Payment verification

Verification of forwarded payment receipts is automated and best-effort. A confirmation is a signal, not a guarantee: payments can be reversed, disputed or fraudulent despite verification. You remain responsible for reviewing your own payment accounts. We are not liable for losses arising from payments that later prove invalid.

5. Fees

Setting up an account is free. Taking your paygate live requires an active paid subscription plan; current plans and pricing are shown on our Pricing page. Subscription fees are our only revenue and are billed by our payment provider, Stripe — this is the only payment we ever collect. We never take a percentage of, or any fee from, your sales revenue, which is processed entirely by third-party payment services. We will announce pricing changes at least 30 days in advance.

6. Buyer data

Buyer email addresses and forwarded receipts are processed solely to verify payments and deliver content. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law. Upon termination, pending unlocks for already-verified payments will be honored where feasible.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and limit our aggregate liability to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the operator’s seat as named in the Imprint, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

These Terms are provided in multiple languages for convenience. In case of discrepancies, the English version prevails.
